Tippy Lemmey

In this story set in 1950s Tennessee, 7-year-old Leandra and her friends are terrorized by a new dog in their neighborhood. Later, Leandra learns that the dog, named Tippy Lemmey, is being cared for by her neighbors while their son, Tippy's owner, fights in the Korean War. When Tippy is dognapped, Leandra and her friends overcome their fear to help track him down and return him to their distraught neighbors.
